GREEN SERIES

The green series was part of Ghost’s photography training. The series dates from 2015 and the assignment was, choose a color and do something photographic with it. Ghost chose his favorite color green, and these are some photos from this series.

Nuclear coke is a sub-series of photos where different bottles of Coca Cola are placed in the vicinity of a nuclear power plant with the typical cooling towers. In this case it's the nuclear power plant of Doel near Antwerp. No photo editing was applied here. The bottles are real and are containing green Halloween make-up that Ghost dissolved in water. The three bottles can still be found in Ghost's house today, in the bathroom somewhere on top of a cupboard.

9/11, of course, captures the imagination, but in reality this is just the digital clock on the facade of a local pharmacy, and the photo was taken on November the 9th.

No photo editing was used on this photo. Ghost has effectively filled his own bathtub with water and added some green coloring to the water. How did he pull off the trick with the hand? Well, Ghost had a friend and made a bet with that friend that he wouldn't dare to lie down in a bath full of green water and stay under water for a full two minutes...Of course that's not true. Ghost doesn't reveal how he managed to do this, (just like magicians, photographers never reveal their tricks) except that all his friends, ex-girlfriends and relatives still have both hands.
