‘It’s a sin’ is a series of photos that Ghost made in 2017, inspired by the seven deadly sins. The idea behind this series – which didn’t turn out quite what Ghost had in mind – was that people see the sins of others on a daily basis but often forget their own sins that they commit. Hence the idea to depict the seven deadly sins in a close-up of people’s eyes. To depict the actual sin, Ghost used chess pieces, which he photographed separately for each sin, then photoshopped that image into the close-up photo of the eye. Those eyes are the eyes of people Ghost knows personally, but he doesn’t reveal who these people are. This series was a combination of photography and intensive use of Photoshop.
